Heightened tensions around the globe related to identity, race, color and ethnicity have led to a groundswell of dialogue populating our airwaves, political debates and social networks. The Glimmerglass Festival and its partner, the WFMT Radio Network, are co-creating a podcast entitled Breaking Glass to spark frank, lively and compelling conversations at the intersection of opera, race and social justice. This session shares how a collaboration between two music-based organizations resulted in a new media fusion of social issues and opera repertoire.
