Executive Director
Margie Johnson Reese has an expansive portfolio as a career arts management professional, leading grant making and cultural agencies in West Africa, Los Angeles, and Dallas. She has contributed to public policy in the arts in cities and countries around the world.  Ms. Reese is currently Executive Director of the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture. She relocated to Wichita Falls in 2016 to launch the new organization and increase public participation in the arts in the city and surrounding area.  She serves on regional and national arts advisory boards and is Vice President of the Board of Directors for Americans for the Arts based in Washington, D. C.  Under her leadership, the Board adopted a national statement on cultural equity in the arts, encouraging equitable distribution of resources dedicated to arts, culture and heritage.
In 2014 Margie was presented with the National Guild Service Award for her lifelong dedication to increasing young people’s access to arts learning opportunities.  She is a strong advocate for high arts quality education initiatives for children, both in and out of school.

Margie earned a BA from Washington State University and a Master of Fine Arts from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.  She is a Fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg Austria, and an Adjunct Professor in the graduate school of Arts Administration at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.
