Ellen Howe has spent the majority of her career working in the nonprofit sector.  Prior to joining The Rome Group nine years ago, she served as the Senior Vice President of Association Advancement at the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, where she also held a number of other positions.  Under Ellen’s leadership, the YMCA raised $20 million dollars in its capital campaign effort.

Ellen completed a Certification in Fundraising Management through the School of Philanthropy at Indiana University and has her CFRE. She is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

In her work with The Rome Group, Ellen has conducted feasibility studies for Kingdom House, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, The Muny, and the Missouri History Museum as well as other organizations.  She is currently leading feasibility studies for the SSM Foundation and the American Cancer Society’s Hope House.  She has served as campaign counsel for Logos School, Special Olympics Missouri, Meds & Food for Kids, and Kingdom House, in addition to others.
