Noémi Neidorff has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Opera Theatre of Saint Louis since 2015. She began her association with OTSL several years ago as a member of the Guild Board and served as a Co-Chair of "Spotlight on Opera." Noémi joined the OTSL Board of Directors and Executive Committee in 2012 and she also chaired the 2012 Spring Gala. She and her husband, Michael, have been active supporters of OTSL through the years, and were honored by OPERA America in 2014 with the prestigious National Trustees Recognition Award. Along with Donna Wilkinson, Noémi currently serves as Co-Chair of the Building on Excellence Campaign.

A native of Budapest, Hungary, Noémi and her parents escaped during the 1956 Revolution. She grew up surrounded by opera, with the Hungarian State Opera House just around the corner from her home. A classical pianist, Noémi performed extensively during her student years, earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at the Manhattan School of Music, and continued post-graduate studies at Columbia University. She has vast experience in the accompaniment of singers, focusing on the baritone repertoire.

An active volunteer, Noémi has been involved in numerous other organizations, as well. She created, developed, and chaired an essay contest for the St. Louis Symphony, titled "EXPRESS THE MUSIC" which continues to attract thousands of students annually. The project was awarded a Gold Ribbon at the American Symphony Orchestra Volunteers' national convention.

Noémi has received much deserved recognition for her wonderful work in the St. Louis Community, including being named the 2013 Variety Woman of the Year, and receiving the 2009 Woman of Achievement Award and 2009 Visionary Award (Grand Center).

She and Michael were also Co-Chairmen of the Kennedy Center's International Committee on the Arts.

Noémi is a member of the Board of Trustees of her alma mater, the Manhattan School of Music, where she chairs the Committee on Nominations & Trusteeship, and serves as an officer on the Executive Committee as Secretary. In 2017, she was also awarded an honorary doctorate by the Manhattan School of Music.
