Todd Calvin is currently vice president of business and legal affairs for Viacom Media Networks in Los Angeles. His responsibilities include negotiating agreements for the development and production of live-action scripted, unscripted and digital-media programs for Nickelodeon. He also advises his network partners regarding intellectual property, labor/employment, guild and contract matters. He was previously an entertainment attorney at the Walt Disney Company.

Prior to his entertainment law experience, Todd worked at the San Francisco Opera under both Lotfi Mansouri and Pamela Rosenberg. He was head of the rehearsal department, where he oversaw scheduling for and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements for the main house as well as the Merola program. He also managed the supernumeraries, handled visa and immigration matters for the Opera Center and participated in negotiations with AGMA and AFM.

In 2014, Todd was selected by Opera America for its Leadership Intensive program, which is sponsored by American Express, and designed to identify and cultivate the next generation of opera leaders. He is a member of the board of directors of Long Beach Opera, where he serves on the development committee and is chair of the campaign committee for the 2020 initiative. He is also serves on the executive committee of the Opera League of Los Angeles, as well as the board of directors. In 2017, Todd was selected by Opera Europa for its opera management program which took place in Lille, France.

Todd also produced the television film “Off-Season” for Showtime, which won an Emmy, and has since become a holiday perennial.
